Gearing up for good: Shane Bennett’s charity ride from Brussels to Amsterdam

We’re proud to share that this summer, Shane Bennett - our Head of Investment Strategy - will be donning his cycling gear and joining 100 fellow riders on a truly inspirational challenge for charity.

On Thursday 31st July 2025, Shane will set off on The TAM Charity Ride, a three-day, 360km cycle from Brussels to Amsterdam, all in support of a trio of children’s charities that carry out life-changing work:

• Action Medical Research
• The Ruth Strauss Foundation
• Winston’s Wish
   

The event aims to raise £100,000, with each rider pledging to contribute at least £1,000 to help meet this ambitious target. These charities provide vital medical care for seriously ill children and offer emotional support to those coping with bereavement at a young age.

When asked why he’s taking on the challenge, Shane said he was inspired not only by the cause, but also by the chance to make a tangible difference to the lives of children and young people in need. He’s already begun training for what promises to be an unforgettable ride - both physically and emotionally.
