Walker Crips, the integrated Investment and Wealth Management group, has strengthened its investment division with the hire of Bill Newton and Andrew Powell as Stockbrokers.
Bill was previously at Barclays Advisory Stockbroking and has worked with private clients for the past 10 years. He joined Barclays in 2008 as Vice President of the Advisory Stockbroking team, providing advice on developed market equity portfolios to high net worth private clients.
Andrew also joins from Barclays, where he spent four years as a stockbroker and focused on both UK and US short term equity trade ideas. Before joining Barclays, Andrew spent eight years dealing on an advisory and discretionary basis in cash equities and derivatives for clients in Europe and the Middle East.
Bill and Andrew’s arrival follows the recent appointment of Stockbrokers Steven Moss and Mark Entwistle who also joined from Barclays.
Rodney FitzGerald, Chief Executive, Walker Crips, says:
“This is an exciting time for Walker Crips as we celebrate our Centenary year. Bill and Andrew are two experienced individuals and will enhance the service provided to clients.
“Bill and Andrew join an increasing number of other investment managers and stockbrokers we have recruited over the past year as we continue to expand and diversify our advisory managed investment capability in direct response to increasing demand from clients.
“We look forward to working with them both to continue to grow Walker Crips’ reputation as one of the UK's leading firms of bespoke Investment and Wealth Managers.”
